· Part 1 Crime Rate is the 2nd lowest level in the history of department at 25.2 per 1,000 residents

· UCR Part 1 Crime Volume increased by only 3.96% from 2017

· Robbery decreased by 13.0% from 2017 and 11.9% from its 5 year average

· Arson decreased by 26.1% from 2017

· Total property crimes stayed within normal historical activity levels

· Burglary decreased by 19.0% from 2017 and 21.7% from its 5 year average

· Bicycle thefts decreased by 3.0% from 2017 and 16.2% from its 5 year average

· Purse snatching decreased by 57.1% from 2017 and 42.3% from its 5 year average

· Part 1 Clearances increased to 26.9%

· 2017 averages for Part 1 clearances in the US were 21.6% and 20.4% for Arizona

· Part 1 Persons Crimes Clearances increased to 46.4%

· Part 1 Property Crimes Clearances increased 25.4%
