Case Study    Directions:  Complete the following steps in order to complete the case study due in Module 6. Submit the  case study as a word document in the Case Study submission link by date listed in the  schedule of activities.   

1. Select a disease entity. You will submit your topic for approval in a discussion board in  Module 4 by the date listed in the schedule of activities. 

2. Define Disease. List etiology, pathology, clinical signs and symptoms.  3. Identify at least three drugs that would be used to treat a patient with the disease entity 

you selected.  4. List the following information for each of the drugs selected: 

i. Trade Name of Drug  ii. Generic Name of Drug  iii. Classification  iv. Indication for Use  v. Action  vi. Side Effects  vii. Recommended Route of Administration and Dosage 

5. Describe how and why these drugs would be prescribed for the case you have  selected. 

6. Include References    The case study will be evaluated based on the following criteria, see the rubric for more  information: 

● Content  ● Accuracy  ● Completeness  ● APA format
