Instructions: In your responses to at least two of your peers, discuss consumer trends that may impact this business or the industry and brand’s new image.

Dery:

A company’s corporate mission is how they reach their target market. It is their goal and what they are striving to do day after day. Corporate missions will summarize affect the company is trying to make on the economy and overall, their impact. Although it may sound cliché, our world is changing constantly and so are our values. Rebranding your corporate mission and aligning with the current culture is an effective way to stay consistent with your market.

Although this may seem it goes without saying, some corporations can overlook the importance of outlining their services and products. As we saw in last week’s module with Kellogg’s, dipping your hands in too many pots can lead to overall chaos. Expanding your efforts into too many different realms can lead to a corporation forgetting what made them who they are today. No matter the market a business decides to step foot in there will always be competitors. These rivals will pose new innovations and ideas in hopes to outdo one another. Competition keeps businesses on their toes and create a more efficient environment. Jazzercise is going for a pure fitness look, they are attempting to go toe to toe with businesses such as a Crossfit Club. These types of clubs are very strict fitness and are known by people to be heavy exercise and a great way to get in shape.

I believe this is a great tactic for Jazzercise. This type of workout may be viewed as “not a real exercise” but with their rebranding, consumers will correlate this to the intense workouts that crossfit hold.
