2-4 Final Project Milestone One: Personality and Self-Concept
Strengths
I have learned to be firm but not being impolite at the same time. I take this personality aspect as a strength in my quest for leadership opportunities in the future. Personal motivation is what backs up my strengths. I have also taught myself to be humble instead of being timid. My third personality aspect is that I have learned to deal in realities. This aspect tends to save me from the agony of delusion.
On the other hand, the aspects of my self-concept also contribute positively to building my leadership capability. For example, positive attitude helps me to overcome challenges ( The Staff of Entrepreneur Media, Inc, 2018). I also believe in myself that I can undertake any task. I also have values that help me in perceiving right and wrong. These strengths will assist me in making the right decisions during leadership. These aspects will also help my subordinates as they will emulate me to make the right decisions.
Areas of Improvement
One aspect of personality that I need to improve is being kind but not weak. Sometimes I mistake kindness to weakness. As far as I am a kind person, sometimes people consider me to be weak due to my generosity. Moreover, I have to improve my aspect of being strong whereby sometimes I find myself being impolite to other people.
On the other hand, I also have to improve on my aspect of collective self-concept. I find myself concerned with my motives and goals and forget the purposes and objectives of the whole team that I work with. I need to improve this aspect since an effective leader puts the success of the person ahead of his personal ambitions.
