As previously mentioned, self-awareness, for an individual or a team, is important. It is hard to know how to get to where you want to go if you don’t know where you are. In this discussion, you will assess a team that you are on and have the opportunity to suggest a positive way forward for that team. This will also serve as an opportunity for you to test out some ideas with your classmates and instructor before writing the paper for this week.

Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:

· Identify positive and negative ways in which teams develop and recommend solutions.

Instructions

1. Review the rubric to make sure you understand the criteria for earning your grade.

2. Review the Getting Started and Background Information sections.

3. Read Discovering Leadership (Middlebrooks et al., 2020) Chapter 12, especially pages 312 and 313.

7. Discussion Prompts:

d. What is one thing you could recommend to help your team either eliminate the dysfunctional behavior or move to the next stage of the team development process?
