A IC Map with vertical ICs means that good on the Y axis is a neuter, while the good on X axis is a normal good. Neuter goods are those about which the consumer do not care much. Thus he is not affect whether he has more or less of that neuter. This means that good on the vertical (Y-axis) gives zero utility.

Here, consumer will prefer a �xed quantity of good X with any quantity of good Y.
