GENERAL COMMENTS
Instructor
You demonstrate an understanding of marketing; more references to theory/academic literature would be helpful in the case study.
Case Study discusses how Print Cakes is creating value. You reference some marketing theory to support your observations. This could have been enhanced with specific referencing on market typologies / jobs to be done. Market mix – needs references to academic literature.
Requires expanded discussion regarding Print Cakes and marketing orientation company (customer/competitor/ inter-functional) and needs reference to the original theory.
Discussion on technology is relevant but could be strengthened with reference to theory from the module.
Report
Opportunity is outlined from the start. Some useful research/justification to support the idea.
STP – some relevant points but could be more focussed on segmenting the market for the opportunity outlined.
Customer Persona – some relevance. The idea here was to produce a customer persona based on the target customer.
Customer Journey Mapping section – includes references to CJM theory to show understanding of importance. Map lacks detail though and needs to align to idea/opportunity more.
Recommendations – some theoretical application to the marketing mix but could be much more detailed and focussed on development of the idea.
