Proposal

In this term paper, I chose Adam Smith as the economist I will discuss because I believe that his economic thinking constitutes the cornerstone of classical economics. For Smith, the free competition environment is the best way to promote economic development, it also meets the requirements of natural laws. So in this paper, I want to focus on Adam Smith's historical background and his free-trade philosophy. I will also compare the similarities and differences between Bian Adam Smith and David Ricardo.
