18 AUGUST 2021 ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR FEEDBACK

8/18/21

Walter, you continue to make good progress towards the completion of this organizational behavior report. Please review my detailed comments on the rubric for 8/18/21.  When considering the feedback, please answer the questions provided and expand your writing to address the requirements.

Keep up the good work!

1) Determines the anticipated outcomes or challenges at each level of the organization for each behavior theory and considers how the individual, group, and organization are motivated and the behavioral changes that are likely to occur by hiring the candidate. NOT MASTERED!!!!!!

08/18/2021 To achieve mastery for this task, please explain two expected results or problems at each level of analysis: (2) for the individual, (2) for the group, and (2) for the organization (for each behavior theory). Be sure to consider how the individual, group, and organization will be motivated and the behavioral changes likely to occur by hiring the candidate. For example, when using each behavior theory, will the candidate perform the required tasks successfully if their needs are met? How will the group be impacted when the candidate is hired? What are some challenges the organization might face by hiring the candidate? Explain. Please refer to the following Project Resources by clicking on the Learning Resources tab: (Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior, Chapter 1.2, 9.Managing Groups and Teams, 9.4 Management of Teams) (Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior, Chapter 15.4, 15 Organizational Culture, 15.2 Understanding Organizational Culture) (Applying Behavior Theory, Organizational Behavior, Motivation in Action: The Case of Trader Joe’s, 9.Managing Groups and Teams, 9.5 Barriers to Effective Teams)

2) Recommends interventions to ensure new-hire and organizational success for each behavior theory applied. NOT MASTERED!!!!!

08/18/2021 Please provide two recommended interventions to increase the likelihood of new hire and organizational success for each behavior theory. For example, how can team building be used to improve team effectiveness and organizational performance? If rewards are offered, will employees be more motivated to fulfill organizational goals? Explain. Please refer to the following Project Resources by clicking on the Learning Resources tab: (Fundamentals of Organization Behavior, Organizational Behavior Chapter 1.2, Designing a Motivating Work Environment, 6.5 Motivating Employees Through Performance Incentives)(Organizational Behavior Management, Organizational Change, and Development, Chapter 14-Team Building)

3) Describes the limitations, risks, and ethical considerations of applying behavior theory to inform decisions. NOT MASTERED!!!!!

08/18/2021 You are on the right track. However, to achieve mastery, you must explain two limitations, two risks, and two ethical considerations of using the behavior theories when making informed decisions. For example, when applying behavior theories, the decision to offer bonuses can motivate team performance. However, would this create a concern of unethical behavior of employees cheating to receive rewards? As for limitations, does meeting employee needs automatically result in a satisfied employee? Do all employees value the same things? Since the newly hired candidate has some health issues, will it create a higher risk for absenteeism? Refer to the following Project Resources by clicking on the Learning Resources tab: Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior, Chapter 1.2, 3.Understanding People at Work: Individual Differences and Perception, 3.3 Individual Differences: Values and Personality) (Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior, Chapter 4. Individual Attitudes and Behaviors, 4.3 Work Behaviors).
