Proposal: Literary Devices
Different literary devices are used by authors to make their works interesting. This paper will consist of a proposal for research on the impact of literary devices used in three stories by Isaac Asimov. Besides, this will include the identification of the three stories, the three literary devices, and thesis, expected to be used in the research paper.
The literary devices will be obtained from three stories by Isaac Asimov. The three stories would include The Monkeys Finger, Ring around the Sun, and The Weapon too Dreadful To Use. The monkey's Finger was written in 1953, Ring around the Sun 1940, and The Weapon too Dreadful To Use in 1939.
One of literary device that an individual would expect to find in the three stories is imagery. Imagery involves the use of figurative language to make the readers understand the story deeper. The use of figurative language makes a story appeal to the physical senses. The other literary device is personification. Personification is a literary device that gives objects the abilities of a human being. This enables the author to speak his or her minds through objects. The third literary device that one would expect to find from the three stories is symbolism. Symbolism includes the use of objects to represent a phenomenon and give an entirely different meaning. Symbolism helps the reader to understand literary works.
