Under Bond Type select “Corporate” and look up Corporate bonds for different companies by entering the name of a company under “Issuer Name” and then click
You’ll see a listing of Bonds for your company with Symbol, Subproduct Type, Coupon, Maturity date, and the Moody’s and S&P ratings. You’ll also see the Price and Yield.
If you select the Issuer name for specific bond it will bring up a page with a Price and Yield chart and a lot of other information including the offering date and original offering amount. Look at the information supplied here.
Under Bond Type you can also select “Government,” then enter “United States” under Issuer and you’ll see various U.S. Treasury Bonds – notice the Moody’s rating? Why is this?
You can also enter your State, California, for example, and see various bonds sold by the state
Under Bond Type you can select “Municipal,” then enter the name of a city under “Issuer Name” and you’ll see a variety of bonds issued by this particular city. Usually the name also indicate what the bond funds were used for; multifamily housing or school districts for example.
Select three different bonds of your choice; corporate, government, or municipal and discuss the requirements in the project for each; be sure to clearly list the company name, government, or municipality and the name of the bond along with all other relevant information
BE sure your project is clearly organized; you may use a chart or table to list your bonds but be sure you exceed the minimum word count; you should be providing excellent detail in your explanations
Instructor's Comments: Keep a close eye on your TurnItIn Originality Verification Score, this should not exceed 25%, however, if you copy ¼ your discussion from the Internet, you can expect your work to be submitted to the University for investigation. In other words, even with a 25% score, if some of your work is copied from a source, you still may be sanctioned for plagiarism.
If your OV score does exceed 25%, please view your TurnItIn Report to ensure all work is original and is written entirely by you! You shouldn’t see a long string of words highlighted; this indicates it is verbatim from your source. You may go back and revise or repost your discussion to lower your score
I do not count your references in these scores, so if your use of references raises your score above 25%, this won’t be taken into account.
Remember plagiarism is defined as copying information and not writing ideas in your own words. All work is required to be written entirely by you!
