4. Go to ptable.com and click on the isotope tab. Choose an element and report out the element’s stable (not radioactive) isotopes and their percent natural abundances.

5. What is the atomic mass of an element? And how is this very different than atomic number and mass number?

6. When an atom of an element forms an ion, which particles are gained or lost: protons, neutrons, or electrons? Explain how gaining or losing the other two types of particles from an atom results in something different than ion formation.
