Research Paper
Liberty University Comment by Diane: APA papers require academic affiliations that are listed prior to the institution name. Academic affiliations should include the name of any department or division and the name of the institution, separated by a comma.Example: School of Behavioral Sciences, Liberty UniversityAPA 2.6 Comment by Diane: An author note is required on the title page. An author note provides additional information about authors, study registration, data sharing, disclaimers or statements regarding conflicts of interest, and help or funding that supported the research. It also proved a point of contact for interested readers. Arrange the author notes into separate paragraphs; if a paragraph is not applicable to your manuscript, omit it from the author note. Amazon's Alexa Posing Challenges to Smart Speaker Industries Comment by Diane: The paper’s title – exactly as it appears on the title page – is centered on the first line in title case and bold font. It serves as the paper’s de-facto Level 1 heading for the introduction. Therefore, the “Introduction” label is not needed.APA 2.27
Introduction
Over time the development in the virtual market has unshackled another surge of disruptive media technologies and cultural trends. The trends of disruptive technologies are shaping the dynamic features of tech devices into more transfigured stratagem. My research paper embraces the technological advancement of Amazon organization and its competitive parameters in the virtual market. Furthermore, I will sneak a glance at the impacts of challenges posed by Amazon on its market competitors exclusively, Google and Apple. Comment by Diane: A comma is used to separate an introductory word, phrase, or clause. Example: Before class started Wayne went to the office.Revised: Before class started, Wayne went to the office. For help with commas, see this writing center resource. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Word order. Broadly speaking, an adverb immediately precedes the word it modifies. An adverb modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. If the adverb modifies a verb, you place it before the verb. In the following sentence, for example, the adverb carefully modifies the verb to drive.Example: The man carefully drives the car. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: A colon is used to introduce a phrase that serves as an explanation or illustration. Example: The moment he most feared had arrived, the chemistry final exam.Revised: The moment he most feared had arrived: the chemistry final exam. For help with colons, see this writing center resource.
Amazon was established in 1995, primarily as a website that ended books online. The company was visioned to explosive market growth. With the emerging technological trends, Amazon started to innovate its products according to the needs of the time. Amazon launched an Amazon Alexa app that is associated with Alexa empowered devices such as Alexa virtual assistance speaker. The artificial intelligence-based voice assistance device has now structured the routine task done by virtual assistance. You can order online, make an appointment, set the home surveillance, play music, and solve complex queries on single voice command. Comment by Diane: If clause is restrictive, it should not be separated from the sentence with commas. A restrictive clause is essential to the basic meaning of the sentence; if it is removed, the sentence will no longer be true. For example: Incorrect: People, who wanted to preserve wilderness areas, opposed the plan to privatize national parks.Correct: People who wanted to preserve wilderness areas opposed the plan to privatize national parks. For help with commas, see the “commas” section of this writing center resource. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Consider word choice. To “end” something is to bring about its completion. However, this does not seem to fit with the meaning of this sentence. Consider revising. Comment by Diane: Evidence must be cited any time a claim is made that is not based on a well-known fact or common knowledge. However, APA 7 does not require citations to be included for every instance. Instead, only cite a source in a paragraph in the first sentence in which it is relevant and do not repeat the citation in subsequent sentences of that same paragraph as long as the source remains clear and unchanged. For help with citations, see this writing center resource.APA 8.1 & 8.24 Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Some compound adjectives are hyphenated. Compound adjectives are used together to describe a noun.Example: He wanted a self driving car.Revised: He wanted a self-driving car.Example: He wanted a face to face meeting.Revised: He wanted a face-to-face meeting. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: While acceptable in informal writing, in formal academic writing, addressing readers directly as “you” should be avoided. This includes the use of the ‘implied you’ second person, as in commands or instructions, i.e., verbs in the imperative. Apply throughout
Similarly, Google has also launched google assistance program Nest Mini. This program works on voice commands for web surfing, ring a call to find your phone, and much more. Additionally, Home Pod by Apple has exceptional features of location finding, offering high fidelity audio while playing music. The emergence of smart speaker industries has metamorphosed the virtual market trends, and there started a battle for the market position of their products (Nandal, et al, 2020). Comment by Diane: Parallelism: Items in a series or list must be like parts of speech, for example, all verbs or all nouns. Moreover, they must be parallel in voice, form, number, tense, and structure. Consider revising this list so that all items within it are parallel.Example: Reggie washed, dusting, vacuuming, and waxed and polished the car.Revised: Reggie washed, dusted, vacuumed, waxed, and polished the car.Example: She bought eggs, bread, baking, and milk.Revised: She bought eggs, bread, items for baking, and milk. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: A comma is not used to separate two items in a list or series.Example: Barb wanted broccoli, and sweet potatoes for dinner.Revised: Barb wanted broccoli and sweet potatoes for dinner. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Subject-verb incompatibility. The subject and its correlating verb should make grammatical and common sense. Consider revising. Example: The car drove quickly. (In this case, a car is unable to drive; hence, there is incompatibility between the subject and its correlating verb.)Revised: She drove the car quickly. Comment by Diane: A comma does not separate the author’s last name and “et al.” Example: Incorrect: (Kernis, et al., 1993)Kernis, et al. (1993) suggest...Correct:(Kernis et al., 1993)Kernis et al. (1993) suggest...APA 8.17 Apply throughout Comment by Diane: “Et al.” is a scholarly abbreviation of the Latin phrase et alia, which means “and others.” The “al.” in this phrase needs a period after it to indicate it is an abbreviation of alia, but it is incorrect to put a period after “et.” Apply throughout
Historical Antecedents
The history of the voice revolution in digital technology dates back to the 1960s. The first digital speech recognition tool was launched by IBM in 1961. The device could recognize only 16 words and digits. In the following years, Carnegie Mellon University introduced a speech recognition system called the Harpy program. The machine could decode 10,11 words. The last decade of the twentieth century acuminated the voice recognition devices and launched Dragon dictate as the first voice detection product for consumers. Microsoft interceded the evolution of the voice revolution with the introduction of Clippy, an interactive animated character that assists the user. Comment by Diane: Unless an acronym is common knowledge to your audience, you should spell out what the initials stand for upon its first use, followed by the acronym in parentheses. You may then use the acronym by itself in future instances. For example, International Business Machines (IBM). Apply throughout Comment by Diane: For numbers larger than three digits, count three spaces to the left to place the first comma. Continue placing commas after every three digits. Important: do not include decimal points when counting.Example: 30,000
The dawn of the 21st century explicitly endorsed the emerging technologies following the launch of another voice recognition feature in office XP in 2001. The strive for development in voice recognition devices did not cease there. In 2011, a decade after the XP voice assistant, IBM introduced Watson's assistant, an artificial intelligence conversation program that helps the user with accurate, efficient, and valid answers. In the same year, Apple plunged into the race of voice assistance technologies and launched Siri, an artificial intelligence-based voice assistance program that performs the digital functions by answering to a voice command. In 2012, Google launched Google now. The voice assistance program that helps the user to manage his routine, helps him to follow the schedule and respond to other voice commands. In the following year, Microsoft launched Cortana, a voice empowered virtual assistant to accomplish the demand by voice command and assist the user in web surfing and by answering the queries. All these devices are the antecedents of Amazon Alexa and the Amazon Echo. The Amazon smart speakers are considered the most refined form of revolution in voice recognition (Bringert, et al, 2013). Comment by Diane: Consider changing or eliminating unnecessary words to avoid wordiness. An example of wordiness is the use of several words when one or two convey the intended message. Example – ‘work on decisions’ – correction – revise to ‘decide.’ Check the document Wordiness for additional help.Wordy: My mother has always wanted to live in a cabin by the lake.More concise: My mother has always wanted to live in a lake cabin. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Figurative language should be avoided in formal academic writing. It tends to give the writing an informal tone. Consider rewording. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Gender partiality should be avoided in academic writing. There are several solutions to make writing more gender-neutral. For example: Rephrase the sentence Use plural nouns or plural pronouns - this way you can use "they" or "their" Replace the pronoun with an article - instead of "his," use "the" Drop the pronoun - many sentences sound fine if you just omit the troublesome "his" from the sentence Replace the pronoun with a noun such as "person," "individual," "child," "researcher," etc. Apply throughout
Amazon Alexa-Thesis statement
The emerging trends in disruptive media technologies have swayed the inclination of the virtual market, cultural trends, and orientation of tech devices. Amazon Alexa is a pavestone of Amazon organization reaching the acme of the tech market regardless of strong competition by corrivals through strategic planning, accessing the global market, strong customer service, competing for its rivals, grappling predisposing challenges, a sheer determination of incessant innovations. Comment by Diane: A conjunction precedes the last item in a list or series. Consider revising. Example: Barb wanted fish, broccoli, sweet potatoes for dinner.Revised: Barb wanted fish, broccoli, and sweet potatoes for dinner.
The Validity of Amazon Alexa
Validity in smart speaker innovation skills can be achieved by specific clarification of inferences of the assessment. Technological development has revolutionized the process of assessment. The tech products have to be reliable for their competitive status in the tech market. The tech product can be validated by the strong features of untainted data and programs. The other conditions of product validation are the authentication of the skill proposed in the mentioned product. The dimension of response by Amazon Alexa confirms its validation. The quality of the answer to a specific voice command and voice quality of the Alexa speaker itself. The Amazon Alexa attains validity by its construction principle. The necessary information for the construction of the system, its potential features, and the assessment of the response by experiments can also validate the tech product. Comment by Diane: Sentence fragment. A sentence fragment may lack a subject, a complete verb, or both. Consider revising.Example: The school, which was newly-built. Revised: The school, which was newly-built, exceeded budgetary expectations. For help with fragments, see this writing center resource. Apply throughout
Dynamics of Change for Amazon
The dynamics of change are important for change in the practice of a person and comprehensive developments in the modification of organization and acclimatization. The organizations appraise the decisive purposes and goals, why a specific change is indispensable for execution in the organization. I selected a multinational organization called Amazon. The drivers of change in Amazon are miscellaneous because the organization is multifarious and has a massive human capital. The main driver of change in this organization is the human resource. Human resource dynamics concentrate on behavior, attitude, services, skills, working environment, interpersonal relations of the employees, teamwork and encompasses the whole culture. However, some numerous factors and drivers trigger the need for change in the organization, which comprises customers, performance indicators, the competitors of the organization as Google, and Apple in this case. The other drivers include administrative management, fluctuations in the regional and international economy, environment, internal conflicts of organization, capital accessibility, contractors, stakeholders, the novelty of products, services, strategic planning, implementation of emerging technologies, prospects, and vision of the company (Cosenz, et al, 2020). Comment by Diane: Avoid repeating words to express the same ideas, especially within a sentence.Example: Different aspects of a thesis require different expressions.Revised: Different aspects of a thesis require their own expressions. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Repetitive content. It is not necessary to repeat similar aspects of a sentence or paragraph. For the sake of conciseness, consider eliminating or simplifying repeated content. In this case, the inclusion of both “some” and “numerous” is repetitive. Consider eliminating one. See this writing center resource for help with concise writing.
Lucrative Web Strategy for Amazon
The web strategy for growth of a company leases that company to explore and magnify its trade There is always a need for strategic planning for successful web growth. There is no substitute for taking a strategy for growth. Amazon Alexa can surge its web growth by a set of inclusive parameters. There are several means to harness Amazon Alexa into a successful web strategy for progress. The marketing platform is a tremendous instrument to access the targeted audience. The engagement of the customer to the website proves influential in the web growth of the organization. The marketing platforms are the successful tools to make the audience more attracted to the product. Strong communication with the customers is imperative to gain the confidence of the customer and is the best way to solve their queries regarding the product. SEC is the oldest and most effective digital marketing strategy. SEO emphasizes the existence of your website on a search engine such as Google and Safari. After assessing the results of the website on the search engine, such as Amazon Alexa in this case, the organization can use different strategies to enhance its visibility and prominence on the search engine (Sivaraja, et al, 2020). Comment by Diane: Sentences must always end with ending punctuation. Comment by Diane: Beginning a sentence or clause with ‘there are,’ ‘this is,’ ‘it is,’ or another variation of the two states your idea with more words than are necessary and does not clarify the antecedent for the pronoun it. This beginning also uses passive voice. In passive voice, the subject does not do the action of the verb. Writing in passive voice is not necessarily grammatically wrong; however, writing in active voice can reduce wordiness and grammatical errors; active voice can also increase the clarity of your message. In active voice the subject is doing the action of the verb. Consider revising the phrase to increase clarity of your sentence and to write more concisely. The APA manual recommends avoiding the overuse of passive voice (APA, 4.13; What is Passive Voice? Definition, Examples of Passive ...).Example: It is often stated that students who…Correction: Students who… This revision states the idea simply and clearly. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Pronoun use. A pronoun must agree with the noun to which it refers (called the antecedent) in gender, person, and number. Example: The girl must turn in their P.E. uniform.Revised: The girl must turn in her P.E. uniform. For help with pronouns, see this writing center resource.
Monographic Review of Amazon Alexa
The disruptive media technology that I chose in my research paper is Amazon Alexa. The primary elements of Alexa speaker include Amazon Echo, a physical smart speaker product and Alexa is the virtual assistant that recognizes the voice command. (Neville, et al, 2020) Amazon Lab 126 introduced this smart speaker device for assistance in daily routine work, managing appointments, meetings, internet searches, with the advancing features of home automation systems. The core features of Amazon Alexa include entertainment, communication, productivity, smart home, shopping, news and information, multitasking skills, operating various devices with Alexa, and answers to specific questions. Amazon Alexa smart speaker, uninterruptedly hears the voice command and monitors the voices to respond to the user. The virtual speaker can be turned off by disabling the audio circuit. The virtual speaker requires a wireless internet connection for its operation. Alexa smart speakers can be operated by Android, Fire OS, and iOS devices indeed. The Advanced Audio Distribution profile enables voice streaming from the user's mobile or iPad to Alexa. Comment by Diane: Word form. It is unclear if this word is meant to be in plural or singular form. If it is meant to be in singular form, an article is necessary. Articles are adjectives that modify nouns. English has two articles: “a/an” and “the.” “The” is used to refer to specific or particular nouns; “a/an” is used to modify non-specific or non-particular nouns. “The” is a definite and “a/an” is an indefinite article. Consider revising.Example: She had car.Revised: She had a car.For help with articles, see this writing center resource. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Whenever the Internet is referred to as a proper noun (i.e. it is referred to as the World Wide Web), then Internet should be capitalized. If a general network of computers is being referenced, then “internet” is used. Most of the time, Internet will be capitalized. For help with capitalization, see this writing center resource. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Generally speaking, within the paper’s body, proper nouns (such as a person’s name or the name of a city), the first letter of a sentence, and the first letter of a quote (if it is a complete sentence) are capitalized. If a word does not fit these criteria, it is not capitalized. For help with capitalization, see this writing center resource. Apply throughout
The smart speaker introduced by Google and Apple comprises similar features but they are not meeting the demands of advanced features that Amazon Alexa is introducing. Amazon Alexa is the leading brand in the virtual market and its features are not confined to the home. Amazon Alexa is introduced in the cars now as vehicle assistance. The vehicle assistance would enable the user to navigate, communicate, and play music by single voice command. (Gillespie, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: A comma is used before the coordinating conjunction—“and,” “but,” “so,” “yet,” “or,” “nor,” or “for”—joining two independent clauses.Example: Eddie went to the game and I stayed home.Revised: Eddie went to the game, and I stayed home. For help with commas, see this writing center resource. Amazon in Global Arena
Amazon is not a regional organization. Amazon is one of the most growing tech industries worldwide. The scope of Amazon is escalating day by day with its developing approach in emerging technologies. Amazon has straggling headquarters in Seattle, following the forty buildings in South Lake Union and Downtown. Amazon has approximately 175 centers across the world. Amazon has regional offices established in North America from the home of Amazon studio in Santa Monica to the home of Amazon fashion in Brooklyn. Additionally, Amazon Vancouver in Vancouver BC, and Amazon.com.mx in Mexico. Amazon is the leading tech industry and widenings its scope across the world to access global audiences. Amazon has established its customer service centers in Europe, North America, South America, Central America, and South Africa. The European centers are located in the United Kingdom (Edinburgh) and Ireland (Cork). The customer service center in Africa is located in Cape Town. The service center of Amazon in South America is located in Columbia (Bogota). Moreover, the world’s largest campus of Amazon is established in India. Amazon has attained the global interest by its burgeoning tech developments in its products. (Dumaine, 2020). Comment by Diane: Commas are used to separate a city from its country.Example: She was born in Toronto, Canada, to immigrant parents. Comment by Diane: Verb form. The present-progressive tenses indicate an ongoing action. The progressive tense is typically used in conjunction with a form of the “to be” verb. It is also not usually in plural form. Consider revising.Example: She havings a problem.Revised: She is having a problem. For help with verb tenses, see this writing center resource.
Transformational Trends by Amazon Alexa
Amazon Alexa has revolutionized the life of the modern man. The smart speaker technology has replaced many odds and probabilities of error in life. Alexa smart speaker provides the man with multiple virtual assistance programs by voice interaction. Alexa smart speaker is a portable device and considered a crucial element in house security and other automatic home functions. (Merrill, 2020). The feature of the Home automation system in Amazon Alexa has enabled the user to create and manage his new routine. The user can select his task and command the smart speaker to regulate the task such as the virtual assistant Alexa will provide the user his appointment schedule, news bulletin, weather updates, controlling the doors and doorbells at home, and turning on and off the lights in the house. Hence Alexa has given birth to great movement in the life of modern man. Alexa can assist in making calls, your web searches in no time. (Siegert, 2020) Comment by Diane: Run-on sentence. A run-on sentence joins two (or more) independent clauses without punctuation or the appropriate conjunction. For help with run-on sentences, see this writing center resource. Comment by Diane: Generally speaking, a comma does not precede a dependent clause that is not explanatory or nonrestrictive. A dependent clause cannot stand alone as a sentence. Several methods can be used to correct this, such as (1) removing the comma and inserting a conjunction (such as “and” or “but”) if one is not already included, (2) revising the dependent clause into an independent clause, or (3) revising the dependent clause into a nonrestrictive clause.Example: The recipe contains alfalfa sprouts, plants grown as livestock feed.Revised: The recipe contains alfalfa sprouts, which are plants grown as livestock feed.Example: He went to the store, then the post office.Revised: He went to the store and then the post office.Example: He liked the book, but did not finish it.Revised: He liked the book, but he did not finish it.For help with commas, see this writing center resource. Confirmation of Amazon Alexa
The development of smart speaker industries has tremendous implications in the modern world. There would be a need for more smart tech innovations soon. The organization explicitly embraced the innovative idea of smart speakers, as it has a great audience response than any other Amazon product. The virtual assistant Alexa has proved itself as a pioneer of a new era of virtual assistant progress and development shortly. The Amazon virtual assistant helps the user in daily tasks. Alexa can communicate and teach the children to comprehend different linguistic intricacies and help them in making different projects. Hence, the virtual assistance program has surrounded the modern man by its appealing features and makes its presence indispensable in our life. (Scherr, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: Avoid using “we”, “us”, and “our” in academic writing. This makes the essay about your experiences instead of research and concrete details. Apply throughout
Amazon Alexa is Now Gaining the Grounds
Amazon Alexa can be used in the management of any organization or business. The inclusive features of Alexa can empower the business by taming the existing strategies in an organization or business. The startling assistance features of Amazon Echo have been gaining ground in the virtual market, business, society, and in our culture. The interactive approach of Amazon Alexa is creating new trends in the management of the organization. The excessive use of Amazon Alexa in the administration of the organization is tremendous. (Nobles, et al, 2020). The widening scope of Amazon Alexa is morphing its market position and making it mandatory for effective management in the organization. There is always a need for a new idea to compete in the market, for this Amazon has launched its new products namely, Amazon Echo (3rd gen), Amazon smart plug, Echo wall clock, Echo Show, and Echo auto. The cultural trends have now been radicalized by the innovation in tech industries. People are welcoming emerging trends and pursue them in their lifestyle. This is the most significant factor that permits the Amazon Echo to gain the grounds. (Mishra, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: Interrupting words and phrases (such as finally, therefore, on the other hand, and however) can come at the beginning or middle of a sentence. When the interrupting words appear at the beginning of the sentence, a comma appears after the word or phrase. In most cases, commas separate an interrupting word when it is placed in the middle of a sentence.Example: I know, however, that you stole the cookies. Comment by Diane: Conflicting pronoun-noun reference. A possessive pronoun and the noun it possesses should agree in number.Example: They spent their life serving.Revised: They spent their lives serving. Apply throughout
Constraints in Amazon Alexa
The flip side of Amazon Alexa is rather intrigued. As we know, Amazon Alexa recognizes the voice command by its user. In this way, the anonymous people can also detect the presence through private conversation. There is a risk of access to echo conversations all the time. (Huang, et al, 2020). Amazon Echo is a cloud-based device predisposing to privacy concerns following the liabilities in the cloud. (Lau, et al, 2018). The placement of Amazon Echo in the house is rather crucial. The personal conversation of the user can be compromised, leading to privacy concerns and security issues. People can misuse the privacy of the user by getting access to its location. Alexa, a virtual speaker does not support add on items in its function. The user must have unlimited internet data to operate the Alexa. Amazon Alexa is a portable device but it does not have its intrinsic battery. The user has to plug it in all time. The other compelling force of Amazon Echo is that it can speak English only. Alexa cannot interpret multiple commands in one sentence. Its AI feature should be enhanced to cover multiple demands at the same time. One of the enticing features of Amazon Alexa is the home automation system but that needs an extensive system of connection and detectors to automate the house with the Echo device. (Weiss, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: Subject-adjective incompatibility. The subject and its correlating adjective should make grammatical and common sense. Consider revising. Example: The test was confused. (In this case, a test cannot be confused; hence, there is incompatibility between the subject and its correlating adjective.)Revised: The test was confusing. Comment by Diane: Commas are used to separate a nonrestrictive clause. A nonrestrictive clause is not essential to the basic meaning of the sentence. The sentence will still be true if it is removed.Example: James Bill’s father went into the garage.Revised: James, Bill’s father, went into the garage. For help with commas, see this writing center resource. Apply throughout Comment by Diane: Good paragraph
Commercial Endorsement to Access a Global Audience
Amazon Echo has a wider scope. The voice assistant technology has been widely used across the world since its inception. The most important pros of the digital era are media campaigning. Media campaigns of products can boost its sale by ten folds. Amazon certainly comprehends the need of the hour. The company makes tremendous advertisements to access the international audience. Amazon's organization always intended to introduce its product across the globe, yet it makes its vision always viable. Currently, the Amazon Echo device is being used in Canada, Australia, Austria, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, UK, and most prominently in the US. Amazon is thriving for increasing its scope beyond these countries. The expansion of the mega-project needs a deliberative approach towards favorable markets and stakeholders. (Saiki, et al, 2020). Comment by Diane: “It” can be a vague pronoun. Ensure that the reader can see to what noun “it” is referring.Example: She wanted it to be about her.Revised: She wanted the story to be about her.For help with pronouns, see this writing center resource. Comment by Diane: United States should always be spelled out when it is used as a noun or location. Example: In the United States, 67% reported this experience. United States can be abbreviated as U.S. when it is used as an adjective.
Foundation and Aspirations of Amazon
Amazon is a multinational technology company located in America. Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos in Bellevue on July 5, 1994. The company was commenced as an online book delivery house. Since its inception, the company reaped tremendous commercialization, and the company executive aimed to expand its scope beyond the books. Amazon radically extended its work frame and began to sell electronic devices, computer software, hardware, video streaming, Amazon games, households, furniture, attires, food, gadgets, accessories, and all that jazz. Hence the company developed itself according to the demands of the time and did not confine its scope to the books only, therefore Jeff Bezos is considered one of the most innovative executives worldwide. The main purpose of the company lies in the fact that Amazon drastically disrupted the well-established tech industries. Amazon is visioned to innovate according to the demands of world dynamics. The clear paragon of its innovative vision is that Amazon is seeking drone technology for delivery purposes. (Hashemipour, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: Unnecessary article. An article (“a/an” or “the”) is used in conjunction with a noun. When a noun is plural and used in a general sense, an article is not needed. Example: He had the books.Revised: He had books. For help with articles, see this writing center resource. Comment by Diane: It is preferable to use a semicolon before introductory words such as namely, however, therefore, that is, i.e., for example, e.g., subsequently, for instance, or besides when they introduce a complete sentence. It is also preferable to use a comma after the introductory word. Example: You will want to bring many backpacking items; for example, sleeping bags, pans, and warm clothing will make the trip better. For help with semicolons, see this writing center resource. Amazon from My Standpoint
In my humble opinion, Amazon can branch out on a virtual market on several fronts. Amazon is the world's leading online marketplace with substantial customer subscriptions. Brands pursue to increase their audience, consequently, there is a great opportunity for Amazon to leverage the emerging brands to upsurge the customer base and open more virtual doors for online marketing. The other tailwind is Amazon prime. Amazon should increase its prime members to expand its market position, most of the shipping companies are using the tactics to follow the strategic plans of Amazon. It is a predisposing factor for prospects. Meanwhile, Amazon should introduce its customer-friendly policies to allure more prime members and should not compete on prices only. Amazon needs to formulate and implement the strategic plan to chug its market position. Amazon is facing challenges from its competitors, Google, and Apple since its inception. However, the company has won out the tech battle on several grounds by creating innovative products. (Kepuska, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: Comma splice. A comma splice joins two or more independent clauses with a comma, but without the appropriate conjunction. Consider revising. For example:Incorrect: She went to the store, he went to the bank.Correct: She went to the store, and he went to the bank. For help with comma splices, see this writing center resource. Amazon's Cardinal Schemes to Outpace the Virtual Market
Strategic planning is considered as the bedrock of a successful organization. Amazon is a gentle giant in the virtual market. Amazon is the best strategic planner as it continuously widened its scope by its persistent innovations. From my standpoint, the strategic plan includes the exploration of new markets, customer support, and services, product deals, special incentives to new subscribers. The innovation in old products to make the customer engaging in the emerging trends of products. My plan encompasses the status and activities of rival companies. This strategy will allow the organization to meet the acme of the virtual market by competing on all grounds and all products. Google and Apple are the greatest co rivals of amazon. A horse never runs so fast as when he has other horses to catch up and outpace. Competition is the best way to excel in any field. The quality of the product should be the prime concern, not the pricing. The original product has its price in its features, that cannot be overlooked by the customers. A good company always focuses on the trending products and judges the recent need of its customer. The company makes a strategic plan to innovate the product that would meet the needs of audience demographics. The trending product should embrace the wider base of the audience, which is the soul of the success of the company. (Grewal, et al, 2020) Comment by Diane: Metaphorical language should be avoided in formal academic writing. It tends to give the writing an informal tone. Consider rewording.
Amazon Grappling with Multitudinal c
hallenges Comment by Diane: First-level headings are in title case. APA 2.27
The organization has been facing several multifarious challenges from its co rivals, Google, and Apple. Apple is older than Google and Amazon. Apple had a strong standing position in the virtual market since its inception. Amazon was only an online marketplace. At that time, it did not have any innovative products like Apple iPod, a multi-function pocket computer. Over time, the company realized the need for innovation of new ideas to maintain the pace. The company continues to morph its market position with the introduction of amazing tech products. The nature and gravity of challenges are tailwinds of comprehending and creating a solution to the upcoming challenges. Comment by Diane: Consider adding sentence transitions within your paragraph. Transitions tend to be single words or phrases when used within paragraphs. They act as cues by helping readers anticipate what they will be reading about in the next few sentences and how each idea relates to another. For example:Original Paragraph (without transitions): Deciding on a college is often a difficult decision for students. Most school counselors try to provide students with different resources. They include assessments and college brochures. Counselors need to provide students with more resources in order to help them make a more informed decision about what college to attend.Revised Paragraph (with transitions): Deciding on a college is often a difficult decision for students. Therefore, most school counselors try to provide students with different resources such as assessments and college brochures. However, counselors need to provide students with more resources in order to help them make a more informed decision about what college to attend. For help with transitions, see this resource. The company is highly liable to the international economic trend. Amazon is a multinational company. The economic fluctuations in any country where Amazon is operating can be implicated. The strategic planning team in the organization is aimed at focusing on the predisposing market and non-market challenges to the company. Conclusion
Conclusively, incessant technological developments have revolutionized modern times. Amazon Alexa is an egregious example of emerging technological trends. Amazon Alexa, an artificial intelligence-based virtual speaker has replaced the odds from the tech devices, enable the more transfigured functions to the user. Amazon organization is gaining the grounds in tech market by its unique approach to innovative products, giving tough competition to its competitors, alleviating the compelling factors, taming dynamics of change, user-friendly policies, broad customer base, a great acceptance of its products by the users, access to a global audience, managing internal and external constraints and strong aspiration of future innovations. Comment by Diane: Missing conjunction. Two dependent verbal or prepositional phrases that share the same subject should be joined by a conjunction rather than a comma. Consider revising.Example: She went to the store, bought a cake.Revised: She went to the store and bought a cake.Example: She knew that he was tired, that he did not want to go to the store.Revised: She knew that he was tired and that he did not want to go to the store. For help with conjunctions, see this writing center resource. Comment by Diane: Parallelism. When two or more verbs have the same subject, the verbs must be parallel. Parallel verbs mean the verbs used in a sentence should all be the same tense.Example: She went to the store and buying the ingredients for spaghetti.Revised: She went to the store and bought the ingredients for spaghetti.
