Physics 221 - Constant Acceleration and Falling Bodies Video Links
Part 1 - Inclined Ramp
Video links are included at the right which should enable you to take the data necessary for the lab writeup. Watch Inclined Ramp Baseline Run
the videos, collect your data, and write your report based on the lab handout and lab guidelines. Logger Pro files are https://tacomacc.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=6ebbf6cb-589a-445a-9256-ab840158aa32
located in the Lab 2 - Part 1 Data folder in Canvas.

Part 2 - Measuring Reaction Times
You will need someone to help you (family member, roommate, etc.) to help you collect data for this portion of the
lab. A ruler and a partner are all that is necessary. Have the partner hold the ruler vertically and hold your hand so
that the top of your hand is level with the bottom of the ruler. Have the partner drop the ruler at a random time (so
that you don't know when it will be dropped). When the ruler is dropped, catch the ruler and record the distance that
it fell (using the scale and reading off where the top of your hand is on the scale). Measuring in cm is the best. Combine
your data with your lab partners to create a table. Individual members do not need to be identified by name in your
table unless you want to (Member 1, member 2, ….).
Part 3 - Measuring Gravity with a Pendulum Measuring Gravity with a Simple Pendulum
Video link at right will allow you to measure the length of the pendulum. The pendulum mass is 100.0 g. Logger Pro https://tacomacc.hosted.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=a3adab84-a61b-4ab9-873f-ab95017988ff
data is found in the Lab 2 - Part 3 Data folder in Canvas.
