Often environmental issues such as pollution and climate action are seen by people of color as "white" people issues because those of us who grew up or live in low income communities believe that issues of racism, police brutality, and income inequality are more pressing. Yet, it is communities of color that are most affected by environmental issues. This week I want you to discuss the connection between race and the environment.

In at least 200 words, look up and explain the term "redlining." Then after watching the two Ted talks "Greening the Ghetto" and "Gansta Gardener" discuss what you found to be most important in the videos and explain how race and environmental issues relate.
