Sent Via First Class Prepaid Postage Mail and Electronic Mail November 13, 2018 Jiaxin Xu 2121 6th Avenue #N1305 Seattle, WA 98121 Dear Jiaxin: Students enrolled at North Seattle College have an obligation to (4a) “Maintain high standards of academic and personal honesty and integrity” as outlined in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC), 132F-121-100, Student Conduct Generally. In addition, WAC 132F-121-110 states misconduct for which campuses under the jurisdiction of the Seattle Colleges District may impose sanctions includes: “(4) Any act of course-related dishonesty, including but not limited to cheating or plagiarism. (b) Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, using another person’s ideas, words, or other work in an instructional course without properly crediting that person.” I have received information from Dr. Cristobal Borges, HIST 268.D1 instructor, fall quarter 2018 that you allegedly plagiarized two assignments. The report indicated that you copied information from the following websites and used this as your own without acknowledging your sources.

As the Vice-President for Student Development Services, I am responsible for initiating disciplinary proceedings for violation of the student conduct policy.
