“This ‘telephone’ has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us.”

OBJECTIVES

1. Analyze research focused on ethical decision-making models.

2. Apply ethical decision-making models.

This week we will examine research focused on understanding ethical decision making models. Additionally we will engage a process of developing and applying ethical decision making models to real-world settings.

I have attached a template and I STRONGLY encourage the use of the template. Remember, proper APA formatting is vital and headings are important in your writing. I suggest to review the rubric and ensure that you are meeting all of the requirements therein INCLUDING current, scholarly research. Current is within the last FIVE years (2013-2018).

Your paper must have the following sections –

1. Introduction

2. A discussion in support of the proposition that ethical equals right and unethical equals wrong.

3. A discussion in opposition of the proposition that ethical equals right and unethical equals wrong.

4. A rationale of your personal position BUT NOT WRITTEN IN 1ST PERSON and research supported.

5. Conclusion

6. References

A few reminders to help you be more successful on this assignment –

1. DO NOT WRITE IN 1ST OR 2ND PERSON. Although this assignment is asks you to take a personal stance, you need to develop a 3rd person first in your presentation of the information. NEVER USE THE WORD “YOU, I, ME, WE, OUT, etc” IN AN ACADEMIC PAPER.

2. Remember, you must support your writing with RESEARCH as evidenced by in-text citations. The research MUST be current research (within the past 5 years).

3. While there is no “set” number of required sources, I would expect to see no less than 5 scholarly sources in addition to the textbook (if you choose to use the textbook).

Directions:

Write a paper (1,000 word) that explains the arguments for and against the proposition Ethical=Right, Unethical=Wrong. Include the following in your paper:

1. A discussion in support of the proposition.

2. A discussion in opposition to the proposition.

3. A research-based statement of and rationale for your position.
