Levels of Strategies in Microsoft company

Microsoft Company is one of the world's largest software companies. The most productive Microsoft products are Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. In the business of Microsoft companies, strategies are involved from normal daily operations to long-term business planning. Despite maintaining a balance between offering great products, services, and excellent efficiency. Therefore, the company has a management strategy of four levels as the following:

· Functional Level: Functional level strategy refers to the day to day formulated strategies aimed at facilitating in implementation of corporate and business level strategies (Mangelsdorf, 2016). The strategies formulated at the functional level are guided by top-level management (Mangelsdorf, 2016). The following are the critical functional level strategies for Microsoft Company:

1. Networking marketing is one of the critical functional level strategies that have contributed immensely to the growth and success of Microsoft Company (Mangelsdorf, 2016). This is because each of the market's windows products is compatible with the current existing windows products.

2. Research and development projects-Microsoft Company invest vast sums of money in R&D projects, ultimately enhancing its innovativeness (Mangelsdorf, 2016). Due to consistent investment in R & D projects, the company can devise numerous categories of products that can meet their customers' needs. Moreover, the company can understand the needs of the market.

3. Building brand equity is another strategy that has made the company emerge as one of the most valuable brands globally (Mangelsdorf, 2016). This is made possible due to the high scores of the consumer and business to business products the company offers in the market. Its brand equity enhances a sustainable competitive advantage for the company.

· Operational Level: Microsoft Company has several operational level strategies that have contributed significantly to the company (Mangelsdorf, 2016). Microsoft Company focuses on strategies and processes that will facilitate profitable products and services. These efforts have enabled the operations managers to introduce various products such as computer hardware, software products, and cloud computing services. Thus, the increasing variety of products has contributed to the intensive growth of the company.
