1. Brannen, P. (2017, September 9). This is how your world could end. Retrieved from The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/sep/09/this-is-how-your-world-could-end-climate-change-global-warming

Peter Brannen has looked into ways through which rising global temperatures could eventually make the earth no longer fit for animal survival. He evaluates how human activities contribute to the phenomena and proposes that if the trend continues that has the capability of wiping out animal life. This source will be important in highlighting ways rising global temperatures could contribute to the end of the world.

2. Hansen, J., Sato, M., Ruedy, R., Lo, K., Lea, D. W., & Elizade, M. M. (2006). Global temperature change. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America Journal 103(39), 151-213.

Additionally, the source has also projected the possible eventualities of global warming and rising global temperatures. It has also looked into dangers that are posed by climate change. It will be an important source that will expound on the likely outcomes of rising global temperatures.

3. Guo, H. (2010). Understanding global natural disasters and the role of earth observation. International Journal of Digital Earth 3(3), 221-230.

The author examines patterns of major natural disasters including storms and earthquakes from a scientific point of view. It also discusses the characteristics and potential of the disasters. It will provide information relating to the extent the disasters can go and how rising global temperatures contribute to the disasters hence will be an important source.

4. Malcolm, J., Liu, C., Neilson, R. P., Hansen, L., & Hannah, L. (2006). Global warming and extinctions of endemic species from biodiversity hotspots. Conservation Biology 20(2), 538-548.

The authors have looked into the major effects of global warming on plants and animals in the next few hundred years. They have also examined whether plants and animals will exist under new climates and rise in global temperatures. The information about the projected impact of the current trends will inform whether the earth will be able to support plant and animal life in the next centuries.

5. Wiens, J. (2016). Climate-Related Local Extinctions Are Already Widespread among Plant and Animal Species. PLOS, 51-79.

The author has attempted to analyze and predict how various species will respond to changes in climate and geographical ranges. He says that extinctions of both animals and plants will be likely as both may fail to adapt to new developments. It will be an important source in informing whether adaptation of plants and animals to the changes in geography and climate will occur.

6. Hoffmann, A., & Sgro, C. M. (2011). Climate change and evolutionary adaptation. Nature 470(1), 479-485.

The authors state that due to geological and climate changes there are species that will adapt to changes such as destruction of their habitats. They also state that there are those that will go extinct due to failure of adapting. This source will provide information on whether failure of adapting will have a catastrophic outcome that may eventually lead to the end of the world.
