The choice mock organization for this assistant is the Starbucks coffee franchised outlet in my city. The coffee house has different important players who assist in the daily running of the outlet. There are managers, supervisors, and attendants and there are the new employees. The primary group in this outlet are the new employees, the secondary group are the supervisors assigned to these new employees while the gatekeeper is the owner of the franchise. These groups of intended readers have differing values, attitudes, and needs that determine the information content to be included in any communication process.

Primary stakeholders: the supervisors

Supervisors need information about performance of the products and its usefulness to the existing products.

Supervisors also need information about how their department and their products as well as those below them are performing.

They require understanding how the new products will fit with the existing ones as well as how they will supplement each other.

The need information that will enable them decide whether the products can be offered without jeopardizing the existing capacity

Effective communication having clear and concise information that can be used for effective decision-making

Since the supervisor is charged with the role of making decision based on evidence, they value exact, precise, and clear information.

The supervisor will be cautions in accepting the information but will also be distrustful until they have the facts and figures to corroborate the claims made in the reading

Secondary : New employees in the outlet

Require valuable information that informs them of the organization, its operations and their roles and obligations.

Will require information that makes them know the organization better, understand how to perform their roles as well as the important factors to consider.

They need to understand the working standards used in the outlet, which ranges from the grooming, facial expressions to the customer etiquettes.

The values required of the new employees include time management, customer service, job performance, as well as instructions that are easy to read and understand.

New employees are going to receive the information with much appreciation and will be motivated for knowing new information they did not previously lacked.

They will be energized by new set of information and will therefore be attentive to the details.

Tertiary : franchise owner

The franchise owners are investors who require information detailing how a certain choice will add value to their investment.

They require detailed information with the costs elements clearly defined

Franchise owners hold the financial performance and returns on their investment with high esteem.

They are majorly concerned with the performance of their franchise and having the tight employees working for them.

They also prefers exactness, clarity and precise information for decision making

Investors are cautious in accepting any new information.

They will be attentive to the details and will critically analyses the information before settling for a decision.

In most cases, they will be distrustful of the information until they are fully satisfied on the correctness of the information.
