Lack of focus on the part of a storyteller will often result into lack of clarity and this will make the audience to have less attachment to their own diverse meanings of the story being narrated. Being clear about the story you are telling will help the audience to have many meanings out of the one meaning that the speaker has clarified. In other words, the audience will be able to have clear meaning which will help them derive other meanings in their own.
