· Does the wage gap issue (unequal pay) still exist?

· Should luxury taxes be applied to feminine hygiene products in the US?

· Should college and universities be free?

· Should parents be allowed to determine whether their children are vaccinated or not?

· Should the US have universal healthcare?

· After movies like Black Panther, Crazy Rich Asians, Moana, The Walking Dead and other media with diverse casting have been released, is there still a lack of representation of people of color in our media and/or society?

· Should DACA recipients be allowed to stay in the US?

· Is the current minimum wage adequate?

· Should we earn higher income based on the degree(s) we’ve earned?

The topic you choose must differ from the one you chose for Essay 1. This essay should be structured as an argumentative essay, as discussed in class, with a paragraph that poses the counterclaim and your rebuttal. Each paragraph should cite one to two lines of evidence (quoted or paraphrased) which must be cited. Your evidence should only consist of academic sources, sources from reliable websites, and cannot contain personal experience.

**If you would like to write on another topic related to the class theme, it must be approved by me.

Guidelines

· This essay should be a minimum of 2.5 - 3 pages.

· A minimum of 2 sources is required.

· A works cited page will be required.

· It should be in the format of a Word Document file (.doc, .docx). No other file types will be accepted.

· Double-space the text of your essay and use Times New Roman font in size 12.

· Set the margins of your document to 1 inch on all sides.

· Provide an appropriate MLA header on the top left corner, and include your last name and page number on the top right corner of each page.

· Create your own title for the essay.

· Any case of plagiarism will result in an automatic zero (0) grade so cite all sources.
