ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

1) Determines the anticipated outcomes or challenges at each level of the organization for each behavior theory and considers how the individual, group, and organization are motivated and the behavioral changes that are likely to occur by hiring the candidate. NOT MASTERED!!!!!

07/29/21 Walter, you are off to a good start by identifying behavior theories to support the needs of the candidate. To achieve mastery, you will need to identify two anticipated outcomes or challenges for each behavior theory that you have identified. For each behavior theory, please discuss the challenges or outcomes at each level of analysis: the individual (candidate), the group (team), and the organization (company), how they are motivated and the behavioral changes that are likely to occur when the candidate is hired. For example, if incentives are provided for the candidate, what impact will this have at the individual, group, and organizational levels? Will this ensure the candidate's best work? Would team members be upset by the incentives? What impact will this have on productivity for the organization? You are on track, but need to consider the impact for each theory as you have only considered one set of challenges/outcomes. Project Resources: (Organizational Behavior Management, Organizational Behavior, Chapter 6, Content Theories of Motivation)

2) Recommends interventions to ensure new-hire and organizational success for each behavior theory applied. NOT MASTERED!!!!!

07/29/21 Nice work examining the importance of interventions; however, more is needed to fully address this area. To achieve mastery, you will need to provide at least two recommended interventions that will increase the likelihood for new-hire and organizational success for each behavior theory applied. Good start, discussing the importance of training to support the new hire's success; however, you need to outline another specific invention that will promote success for the new hire and ultimately the organization. The Project Resources may help with developing an additional intervention that coincides with the behavior theories that you have identified. Be sure that each intervention aligns to the behavior theories that you have identified. What strategies can you recommend that are aligned to each theory to support the candidate's success? For example, could incentives be beneficial for organizational and candidate effectiveness? Consider the incentives as a strategy that you can develop as a hiring manager to ensure the success of the candidate. Project Resources: (Organizational Behavior Management, Organizational Behavior, Chapter 6, Goal Setting Theory)

3) Describes the limitations, risks, and ethical considerations of applying behavior theory to inform decisions. NOT MASTERED!!!!!!

07/29/21 Please describe at minimum 2 limitations, 2 risks, and 2 ethical considerations of applying behavior theory to inform decisions. You are off to a good start by examining the importance of ethics; however, you need to consider these aspects as they relate to application of behavior theory. For example, what are the ethical considerations of using incentives and rewards to motivate performance? What impact does this have on employee behavior? Please consult the Project Resources as you consider this area a bit further. Project Resources: (Fundamentals of Organizational Behavior, Chapter 1.2, 3. 4) Clearly conveys meaning with correct grammar, sentence structure, and spelling; shows understanding of audience and purpose. NOT MASTERED!!!!!

07/29/21 Since there are still a few areas that must be addressed, your writing will be assessed as part of your next submission.

5) Lists sources where needed using citation methods with no major errors. NOT MASTERED!!!!!

07/29/21 You have a good start to crediting your sources. Please review your paper to ensure all information that is paraphrased or directly quoted is cited. Additionally, for every reference listed there should be a corresponding in-text citation. The Citation Help tile provides access to the resources, CfA Citation Guide and CfA Citation Maker, both of which, can be used to help determine when and how to cite your sources.
