In this module, you learned about the changes that occurred in Europe during the Early Modern Period. You explored the economic and cultural changes affected by the expansion of Western civilization. You also learned about some of the ways Europeans exploited human labor to build bases of power. 

The cities of Florence, Rome, and Wittenberg, and the country of Portugal each played an important role during this time. For your assessment, you will explain the role each played using evidence from the module for support.
