Project Scope

Statement

Modernize older kitchen with new features including new cabinets, appliances, flooring, paint, a window, and a sink.

High-level of Work Breakdown Structure

1. Plans for new kitchen layout need to be drawn up.

1.a. Find a professional architect to aid in the creation of the new layout blueprints

2. Style and color of cabinets need to be chosen.

2.a. Find a dealer that has the cabinets in the color and style

desired.

3. New appliances need to be selected.

3.a. Style, brand, and color of appliances need to be chosen.

4. Flooring and paint

4.a. Style of flooring and new paint color has to be selected.

5. Window and new sink

5.a. New sink and window style must be selected.

Assumptions

1. Upon selecting an architect for the blueprints, make sure no home inspection is necessary, and no permits need to be filled out.

2. Contact cabinet store and place the order for the cabinets and accessories.

3. Contact home repair store to make sure they have the appliances in stock. If not then place an order as soon as possible

4. Contact home repair store to make sure they enough flooring in stock. If not either order more stock or choose a different style.

Stakeholders

Casey Berry- Financial Manager- Is in charge of paying the contractors and wherever orders are placed.

Leilani Berry-Operations Management-Makes certain items are in stock and if not then is in charge of placing the orders.

Ariel Berry-Facility Manager- Oversees the work being done on site is up to standards and relays back to the Project Manager of progress or setbacks.

Time estimate

May 5th Blueprints are drawn up.

May 7th Demolition of old kitchen begins.

May 11th Flooring will be delivered, and painting will be completed.

June 4th Cabinets will be delivered and assembled.

June 18th Appliances are delivered and installed

July 15th Kitchen remodel is complete.

Cost estimate

Estimated Budget-$10,000.00

Flooring-$750

Cabinets-$900.00

Appliances-$2,500.00

Sink and window-$1,500.00

Milestones

Complete entire kitchen remodel in less than ten weeks

1. Risk of flooring or cabinets being discontinued or sold out.

The kitchen will be completed when appliances function correctly.
