IT243 TEAM PROJECT
Brief description Students will conduct a systems analysis project by performing 3 phases of SDLC (planning,
analysis and design) for a small (real or imaginary) organization. The actual project
implementation is not required (i.e. No coding required.) They need to apply what they have
learned in the class and to participate in the team project work.

What to include This project should follow the main steps of the first three phases of the SDLC (phase 1, 2 and
3). Here is a list of these main requirements that are expected to be followed by all project
groups.
Marking criteria In total, 8 marks are allocated to this project which will be split as follow:
GENERAL POINTS Groups will be created in the blackboard where members of each group can share ideas
and submit their work.
A single submission is enough; therefore, each group should have a leader to do this job.
Two templates will be given to students to use them in the project work
Not respecting the deadline will result in 0 mark.
Planning Phase
•Project identification/ Project Proposal
•Adopt a SDLC development methodology
•Develop a work plan (Task identification or Gantt chart)
Analysis phase
•Determine main business requirements
•Create Use Cases
•Model Processes (Data Flow Diagramming)
•Model data (ER modeling)
Design phase
•Select an architecture design
•Screens Design (create the User Interface Structure Design), and sample system screens. No need to be in HTML, they can be just drawing of how the screen will appear.
