Assessment Task 1 - Presentation and Written Responses

Part A

Assessment description

Student must identify the names of the project management software investigated, benefits of using

this particular software and any down-sides to using this software. Candidates are to provide a 5

minute presentation to the class, outlining their findings.

Procedure

1. Conduct an internet search to find two or three different project management software products.

2. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of using each product, for various elements of a project.

3. Compare and contrast the products examined, making a recommendation of a particular product, if appropriate.

4. Present findings as a presentation to the class using appropriate PowerPoint.

Specifications

Student must include:

 Evidence of project management software research undertaken.

 Demonstrated understanding of requirements of project management software features.

 PowerPoint presentation.

gaining approval. How do you know your project plan is finalised?

5 . How would you monitor and manage project finances, resources (human, physical and

technical) and quality? Do not limit your ideas to methods used in the text. Why would you

use these methods? Why do you think it is superior to other monitoring methods?

6 . Complete a progress report that could be forwarded to stakeholders.
