Welcome to our discussion for: Jurassic World: Domination (action, sci-fi) Lightyear (computer animation, adventure)

Watch ONE of the films above. Both films are new releases and they should be showing at your local cinema.

You are expected to make ‘healthy contributions’ towards an asynchronous discussion, focusing on strategies on doing a film analysis for the film viewed.

Discussion criteria:

1) Initial post (100-150 words) discussing 1-2 topics from the class. Your discussion has to reference course readings and you are asked to highlight (italicize, make bold, underline) the class topic(s)/perspective(s) you are using to make your claims or argument. In your discussion, please make sure you 1) make your claim, 2) explain the topic/perspective that relates to your claim, and 3) your analysis/conclusions based on how the film corresponds to or implicates the selected topic/perspective. In your response, don't forget to describe the parts of the film you are referencing. You are expected to cite at least 1 source (in-text citations and full reference citation underneath your discussion - any of the class readings/materials can be used to this end).

2) Respond to 2 classmates' discussion with you insight about their post (50-100 words).

This is worth 5 points.

The discussion, which takes place over a period of 48-hours, will begin at 10:00 pm on TUES, June 21, and will end at 10:00 pm on THURS, June 23.
