Example when constructing your answers for A4.
1. Definition. Read on how others have defined problem statements and create one you want to adopt.
2. Persona name & role. Fictitious persona name and 2-3 words for persona role. Provide additional information about the role so the reader can follow the context.
3. Pain point. The pain point must be related to a Fintech need. Describe the situation in detail. This is where you provide a context to represent the user’s perspective; specifically about the task the persona is trying to accomplish. Here is an example: Mary is inconvenienced by making cash payments for her child's music lessons because the company does not accept debit or credit payments.
4. User story. Follow the standard format. Here is an example: As Mary, a parent of a musician, I want to avoid cash payments and use my preferred payment method for my child's music lessons so that I can better track my expenses through my bank and keep clear records of my spending.
5. Problem statement. Avoid being verbose and write a succinct statement. Here is an example: Mary, a musician parent, needs convenient alternatives to a cash payment that will enable her to track and manage her finances.
6. Client feedback. You must circle back with the client (the person you interviewed) and share with her/him the pain point, user story, and problem statement you wrote. Write their reactions/comments and what you updated as a result.
