Watch the 1961 movie El Cid (currently on YouTube, though that may change).  Compare the story of Rodrigo Diaz, as told in the movie, to the story we read in the Poem (Song) of the Cid  How closely did the movie follow the poem?  How closely does it follow the actual history of the period?

Write a brief (no more than 2 pages, time new romance 12" double space) paper answering these questions.
