Your paper will involve the discussion of a legal case relevant to subject matters we

cover in class. You are to discuss the facts pertaining to the case, the judicial ruling, and 

provide an economic analysis of the issues involved. I also want you to express your 

opinion as to whether you agree with the ruling and why. Provide a citation to the case. 

With my permission, you may discuss a case mentioned in the book (so long as it is not 

discussed in detail in the text or in class). A Google or Wikipedia search of a legal term 

or concept may provide ideas. Alternatively, you may come and talk to me for 

suggestions on a topic. You may not use a case you learned about in any Business Law 

class. A good site for cases in California can be found at:

Appeals Court cases.
