Holocaust survivor stories contain some of the most profoundly important themes and experiences in the whole of oral and written human history. Elie Wiesel’s memoir Night is credited as one of the most important books dealing with the plight of the Holocaust victim. In your paper, examine the theme of survival as it pertains to Night and the assigned supplemental readings (i.e., interviews conducted with other Holocaust victims).

While each individual’s experience as a Holocaust survivor is uniquely personal, there are many common themes of survival shared among the victims. Provide an argument about survival and the Holocaust. For example, how can survival be defined in relation to the Holocaust? What ideals, beliefs, behaviors, or themes were instrumental in helping people to survive one of history’s most devastating events?
