a 1-2 page memo (in your words) describing this contemporary issue and attach 1-2 pages of
reference material about the issue. Explain why this issue is “new” or contemporary and what
aspect of fluid mechanics or applied hydraulics is central to this issue. Keep your search within
the area of pressure flow hydraulics. Later in the course you will do the same issue with open
