Support the Case for Adult Online Learning

For this assignment, design a persuasive presentation about adult online learning for a group of very traditional faculty, who are in opposition to online learning and have never taught adult learners. These faculty members have several points they assert that you will need to address in your presentation. These points are:

• Online learning is inferior to face-to-face learning.
• The adult learner doesn’t know what he or she needs; only the faculty member does.
• Students are not customers . . . they are students.
• There is only one way to teach and one way to learn.

Your presentation must address these points and provide a rebuttal to them. Using learning styles, andragogical principles, and constructivism as explanatory frameworks and citing specific examples, convince this group of faculty by educating them about online learning, adult learning, and learning theory.

Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for each slide. Be sure to include citations for quotations and paraphrases with references in APA format and style where appropriate.
