The student will choose a topic within which to develop a comprehensive assessment system.  The topic may be the evaluation of a specific competency, the assessment system for a defined course or clerkship, or an assessment program for specific learners.  The submitted project should include a brief summary of the learning objectives under assessment, example of all assessment tools, and an implementation plan.

Questions to be considered in the development of the assessment project:

a.      How will the validity and reliability of the measures be determined, if appropriate?

b.      Will standards for adequate performance be set and how will they be determined?

c.      How will the evaluation system be introduced to the learner and to the faculty?

d.      How will the effectiveness of the evaluation system be assessed?
