You will write 2 paragraphs.  Each paragraph must be 25-50 words (or 50 to 100 words total). In the first paragraph, you will state who you are, your classification (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, etc.) and your major.  If you don't have a major, then state your favorite subject.  In that same paragraph, state one interesting (ethical!) thing about yourself. 

In the second paragraph, answer the following making sure you number your answers:

1. Name 3 areas of research in computer science that are occurring today that most interest you.  Considering one of the areas you picked, how can solving a problem in that area provide you with a competitive edge for your major, future career, favorite subject, or other interests? Cite at least 2 references (using APA Citation Style) online ending in .edu, .org or .gov.
2. What do you want to get out of this course?
