After writing your paragraph, respond to two other posts by addressing the following:
- Find one credible article relevant to your classmates' topic and share the link.
- After reading the article, write a short paragraph explaining why this source would support their topic.

Argument Synthesis Essay
Due: 11:59 PM EST Sunday
An Argumentative Synthesis essay uses information from different sources to build an argument. In this essay, you will research one of these topics and pick a side of the issue.
- The use of social media for potential employers and schools
- The Patriot Act
- Eminent Domain
- WikiLeaks
- Photo Shopping in ads
Task:
After choosing your topics, find two credible sources that address your side of the chosen topic. Find one additional credible sourcethat addressing the counterargument to your topic.
In your introduction, introduce the topic and a BRIEF explanation of the topic. Provide a thesis that focuses on the argument you are making and the areas you are using to support it.
In your supporting paragraphs, defend your side of the issue using your own analyses as well as text support from the articles. Make sure that one of your supporting paragraphs analyzes the counterargument and also includes your refutation.
Write a concluding paragraph that restates your thesis, recaps your main supporting points, and leaves your reader with a thought provoking question or comment
Follow these guidelines:
- Include an APA title page
- The essay should be two to three body pages in length.
- Include APA in-text citations wherever you reference the text.
- Include a reference page in APA format.
- Be objective and avoid using “I,” “you,” and “we.”
Students: Be sure to read the criteria, by whichyour paper/project will be evaluated, before you write, and again after you write.
