You will write a response to the following question:

Using the information we have discussed over the last 6 weeks,

Do you think there is a way to achieve a true "global ethic" and "common good"?  Why or why not?

Please use only assigned readings to support your ideas.  (Patel Book, Online Articles, and PDF's)

• 1 inch margins
• Must have a cover page
• Must have a reference/bibliography page
• 1 - 2 pages of writing

Your assignment will be 3 - 5 pages (1-2 pages of writing, cover page, and reference/bibliography page)

Introduction

This section should introduce your topic.  This should be about 1 paragraph long.  A paragraph is four to six sentences in length.  

Make sure to include each heading (Introduction, Thesis/Presentation of Ideas, Conclusion) and then write the information pertaining to that heading underneath.

Thesis/Presentation of Ideas

This is where your thesis statement and argument should be made.  This should be 3 – 5 paragraphs long.  A paragraph is four to six sentences in length. 

This is the majority of the paper.  Please make sure you cite all sources in text.  If you are not using your readings for your response paper, you are not addressing the assignment correctly.  

Conclusion

This should tie all your ideas together.  It should not introduce any new ideas.  This should be about 1 paragraph long.  A paragraph is four to six sentences in length.
