Personal Case Study. You will select one of the two conflicts you described in your Initial Self-Assessment paper to research and write about. During the semester, you will research related journal articles (published since 2007) that apply to your conflict, and you will select at least 5 of them. Then, using concepts from your textbook, class lectures, and the journal articles you have found, you will write a 4-6 page paper (minimum, not including the reference page) showing how those concepts can usefully be applied to help you effectively manage your conflict situation. You must also be prepared to give a brief report to the class on your findings.

Written assignments are due at the BEGINNING of the class period on the designated day. Papers are considered received when you have delivered them to the instructor’s hands. 

Papers must be typed in double-spaced 12 pt. Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins all the way around, and page numbers on every page. All assignments must be stapled. Writing quality should be at the collegiate level. Correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar are expected.

Grading will be based on:

       1.  Meeting ALL of the stated requirements (including page length and format) 

       2.  Clarity of expression 

       3.  Quality of reasoning (logical, consistent, sufficient) 

4.  Mechanics - good writing, spelling, grammar, APA style, etc.
