Most of us are aware of Al Gore’s powerful film, An Inconvenient Truth (2006), which introduced the topic of climate change to many people around the world. In preparation for our exciting session at the U.N. this week, please watch his recent 2016 TED talk, which updates us on new developments and gives us reason for hope (seriously!):

Mr. Gore says there are three reasons to be optimistic about our prospects for mitigating the affects of climate change and solving many of the major problems already occurring.  Please write at least two paragraphs about what you think  these reasons are.
