Describe the composition, crystal structure & its typical defects, microstructure & phases;
properties important for the selected applications, their dependence on the structure,
possibility of improving the properties by modifying the structure and/or processing.
Emphasize what is most interesting about the selected material
(e.g. what makes this material the best for the selected application, etc).

The sources (e.g. books, journal publications, websites) of all data used must be referred to.
In particular, remember to give references (including internet sources) for each illustrations,
unless you create it yourselves.
Students are encouraged, but not required, to use databases available through the library,
such as ISI Web of Knowledge, to search for relevant research papers and reviews.
