write draft two different possible introductions (first 1–3 paragraphs) of Project 1: Open Letter, which is an open letter to someone with influence over secondary writing education that will be published openly in a public newspaper, magazine, or other venue for such publications. You will be informing the intended audience about what writing research shows about writing (the threshold concepts we are learning) and arguing for changes in writing education based on that research.
