Request permission to pursue research on updating church facilities with up to date, state of the age                                 

technology to accommodate parishioners with disabilities will benefit the church in serving our members and community.

This a request to proceed with your permission to research a proposal that was submitted by the Mount Olive Christian Fellowship board of directors to upgrade and update the church facilities to accommodate our parishioners, members, and guest who worship at our church.  Our church has been a cornerstone of this community for over 40 years, and the many of our members consist of the elderly who require special attention to gain access to our facility. By researching ways to improve, upgrade, and update our facility to accommodate those who are in need of special equipment will show not only those who have been faithful churchgoers that we take care of less fortunate, but hold true to our motto that “we are not just a church, but a family”.

 When those with disabilities were asked why they didn’t attend church services, and they replied that sometimes it’s hard to get to the church, and also to move around freely without the proper equipment, and capacity for mobility assisted equipment like wheelchairs, and motor carts is limited if not any at all.  Those who are hearing impaired who don’t hear the service won’t come back to another service ( Mccart).  There are other disabilities like the visually impaired, and those who have autism will need a place to enjoy the service without disturbing other parishioners.

 Now is the time to go forward with this research, because now is the time for the community to see what an organization like Mount Olive Christian Fellowship to literally practice what they preach
