Reasons Why Social Entrepreneurship Is The New Business Model

    Right off the bat I agree with Fox's observation that millennials trying to break into the social enterprise world are not just about money or the cause. It's a marriage of the two principles. Out of the five reasons for adopting this new model, number one spoke to me for many reason. Aside from it being the first point in the article, It connects you to your life purpose, it is something we have all heard before. We are told the difference between a JOB and a CAREER from an early age. That is a partial reason why higher education is encouraged. To find something that does not feel like a chore or another thing you have to do to "adult today". Find something that will makes you happy you got up and went to work. To have purpose and meaning in our everyday life is important to out overall mental, emotional, and physical health.

    Then in direct connection to what is stated in the first point comes the fourth point Fox makes, It helps you help others discover their life purpose. In a world so technology driven the idea of social companies keeping true to that human to human connection is something that is personally significant to me. People dont talk anymore or interact like we once did (less than 20 years ago haha) so being able to literally reach out and help someone in need can be the catalyst to helping them realize they want to be a positive change in someone else's life too. One never knows the impact that one can leave on someone else;s life. A simple kind word can spark a movement which would have never been realized if you didn't feel the desire to make a difference first.

From the "5 Reasons Why Social Entrepreneurship Is The New Business Model" article I totally agree with Fox when she states that nowadays the generation of young entrepreneurs are concerned of making money as they are worried about making an impact on the world and helping others. They are both intertwined and go hand in hand.

From the five reasons Fox’s mentioned as why social entrepreneurship is the new business model the first one that hooked me was that it connects you to your life purpose. We were always taught, and I couldn’t agree more, that we have to love what you do and to do what you love since the best is that we end up “working” in someplace or field we like or feel comfortable on. I think its very important for people to set goals, have clear what is your purpose in life and as I said to do what you love. People should be happy and enjoy what they do everyday; this is also a good way to stay healthy emotionally and psychologically.

This following point is not only the second one mentioned in the article but also the second rule that got my attention; social entrepreneurship keeps you motivated. I think motivation is the key to success, when you feel motivated you always look forward for more, you want to be better and better every time. As IdoLeffler, creator of successful brands like Yoobi and Yes To said “Why found a social enterprise? “I think the biggest question once you’ve reached success is one of motivation.”  In this cases what motivates most social entrepreneurs is knowing that we are helping other people and making an impact on their lifes, that is the best reward they can have.
