Who’s Driving Your Health Care?

Prior to managed care, health care was considered consumer-driven. Patients chose the doctor who best fit their individual needs. Managed care has "flipped the switch" to provider-driven care. The result of managed care is limited choices for lower costs. In your opinion which is better for American health care, provider-driven or consumer-driven health care? Defend your opinion with specific examples.
