Who can do it

Select a suitable project for risk management analysis in this class.  This project will be discussed in several of your papers -- both individual and Learning Team -- throughout the class [inclusive of your final paper].  The following guidelines apply:

• The project must contain detailed information related to overall project requirements and related risks.
• The project must contain adequate substance to support discussing risk identification, risk documentation, and contingency planning.
• The project must be ongoing and approved by your facilitator.
• The project may be documented through research or a personal experience.
• If you are unable to locate a suitable project in research, several scenarios are available in the virtual organization.

 

Write a paper of no more than 1,050 words - not including title page and works cited page - which describes the project's background and general requirements. 

1. Expound on the project's scope, prescheduled milestones, cost constraints, and quality requirements.
2. Discuss the framework and practical application of risk identification.
   1. Discuss four techniques for risk identification.
   2. Discuss four identified risks for your project, and specifically explain why they are risks.
3. Describe how the project risks will be documented.

• Scope
• Milestones
• Cost constraints
• Quality requirements

Risk Identification framework

• What is the foundation for risk identification? (Why is it important?)
• How does risk identification support the project?
• What are the techniques for risk identification?
