Capstone Milestone

Describe topic/theme of the Capstone Project. Make sure to consider the importance of this topic from the perspective of self, society, and change. Use the Blank Literature Review Worksheet to come up with good key word search options. Make sure to take careful notes, and save the research you locate from the library on your desktop. You will be asked to post articles in the course doc sharing area in the following weeks.

• In 1-2 paragraphs, identify and justify three disciplinary perspectives that you will use to explore this topic. Each discipline should be named explicitly, and you should be able to describe why this discipline is appropriate to your topic.

• In 1-2 paragraphs, describe why this topic is important to you as an individual. Has this issue affected someone you know and love? Have you been impacted by this topic? Provide an overview of your interest in the topic of study.

• In 1-2 paragraphs, describe your academic investigation as if you were explaining it to a fellow student, and identify three key word searches you will use to investigate your topic. Why should a fellow student find this topic important? Be sure to use good examples and evidence to support your claim about the issue’s importance.
