Week 4 Discussions 1 and 2

I need this assignment by 11 a.m. 12/10/15
This assignment pertains to the work has been already been initiated. (Pertaining to the rough draft and the the research paper paper that is currently in effect.) Answer instructions regarding the topic of the research paper ONLY!!!! These are two different discussion boards so the two should be separated for the ability to distinguish between the two when posting them. Please ask questions if not sure about anything that is to be done so that ample amount of time is given to correct anything prior to due date.

Discussion 1: Reflect

Before drafting your initial post, take time to reflect on everything you’ve learned about argument, logic, and fallacy over the last month. Reread your draft with an eye on logic and make note of any fallacies you catch or claims that lack support.

Take another look at your draft with an eye on your use of outside sources. Keep an eye out for missing quotation marks, poorly paraphrased information, and in-text citations. Make note of any errors or concerns you discover.  

Write

In 200 to 300 words, share your plagiarism and logic self-check experience. Describe your process and the items you uncovered during your review. In a few sentences, explain how you will correct the issues and ask questions if you need help or advice. You may also share some of your best quotes, paraphrases, and logical passages with the class. Be sure to explain why your chosen sections are “the best,” and how this process will influence your work in the future.   

Discussion 2: Reflect

Before drafting your initial post, take time to reflect on your rough draft. Is the claim in your thesis statement fully developed and supported throughout your essay? Do your topic sentences support your thesis statement? Have you supported your claims with evidence? Will you be submitting your draft to the Ashford Writing Center for review?

Write

Share your essay rough draft by attaching it to your post as a Microsoft Word document. Include an APA-formatted references list for the sources used in your essay. In 200 to 300 words, identify and explain the following:

Describe and explain your review process. How did you review your rough draft for logical fallacies, citation errors, and potential plagiarism (e.g., Turnitin)?

Discuss any specific questions you have regarding your essay structure.
