The radiology department at Saint Mary’s hospital just hired a woman with several physical disabilities.
She is confined to a wheel chair and is legally blind.  She is however an accomplished typist; fast and accurate.  She is to work in transcription where she will type the dictated clinical impressions of the radiologists into the medical record.

You’ve been asked you to set up the accommodations for this new employee including acquiring a new special computer for her to use.  How would you go about determine what else she needs?

Finally your boss warns you that other members of the department will not be happy about the special equipment.  They have been asking for new computers for two years and the budget just does not allow for their purchase.  Discuss how you will address the other employees in the department.
