Discussion Questions

1. Identify your nonprofit and briefly describe it.  Who is the target population?  Do they provide a variety of services, or focus on one area?  Check Guidestar to be sure they are classified as a 501 (c)(3) organization.  Include the organization’s website in your discussion board posting. 

2. Organizations ask for and receive funds based primarily on the services they provide.  People donate for a variety of reasons, but a big one is because they care about the cause.  Sometimes there are gaps in services, or insufficient services to meet the needs of a population.  Think about your identified organization, and consider areas of potential expansion or addition of services.
